The name is Latin for "Dog God." I drew my inspiration from Final Fantasy 10: I imagined that if Bahamut were female, joined up with Ifrit and created offspring, and gave birth to an electric aeon, it might look something like this. Lol.
Wow! I can definately see the FFX inspiration I love the style, and the glowing effects are great! Rather than overwhelm the piece they definately give it a sense of motion and energy.
And I shall now sit here in awe for a good while.
