This is such a beautiful, simple drawing. I love the texture you used in it, and how well in flows! :D Doodle anything else in this style? :) Its such a lovely style, and i'm sure it's very fun to draw in Corel, as well. x3

It's a wonderful thing when you can just loosen up and draw...

A lot of my better drawings start off like that... I just let the feeling and the pencil ride... then I detail later.

This is PRECISELY one of the art styles I've been trying to do, but never comes out right because I tend to go back to my old style in the middle of the drawing :b Definitely something different, and I love it.

Really? It just came out of me when I was depressed. I felt like I didn't really care so it came out with the lack of detail and attention I put into my other work.

A very interesting, sort of abstract drawing style here. Though the character really complements the style, it looks a bit rough around the edges in some places. Eg. the legs look good, as do the arms, but the head/neck/torso feels a bit out of place, probably due to the neck dimensions. I've seen some of your other Bladewind pics, and this one feels disconnected from the rest.

In any case, I really like this style and hope to see more in it!

I really like this interpretation of bladewind...it's just...different! Big fan of the chalk/pastel look and the flow of the anatomy. I think that experimentation with different styles makes a better artist, and I like seeing variety. Don't let some of the luddite people out there dampen your creativity.

An excellent work done there! I like this one, more so than the others.

Light and loose, no real details.

Q: In Painter, were you doing chalk or pastels?

:w00t: Gonna do more images like this? Style wise that is, not just Bladewind. Would be interesting to see what else comes along. :)

Wow, such a minimalist approach to Bladewind. I think the style really works here; the chalkiness and simplicity of it makes it feel very fluid and windy. :) Love it, G.

very whimsical looking, oh, and some people have to be pretty pathetic to unwatch you because you tried something new. i think that's utter stupidity. I don't care where or what you do with your art, i'll still be looking ^.=.^

She seems like a spirit, its really intriguing.

I do love the scratchy painter feel on your works, but the 'spirit version' or BW in my mind is wispy and etheral (smooth, soft lines)

(since you asked for thoughts, those are mine) :)

This kind of reminds me of a really elaborate cave painting with the texture the overall image has. It has a softer feel about it.

Yanno, a wise woman once said that Freedom was just another word for nothing left to lose.
I love how loose you were with this, the stylized anatomy is something you do very, very well. While you are amazing when you go detail-oriented, this sort of thing flows wonderfully, and is very recognizable as yours. Nice job!
