EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
HOORAY!!
I'm glad you finally had time to finish her! She looks so neat! I know she has knew anatomy and coloring, but she still has that 'Essence of Bladewind" that's unmistakable to the character. As far as that goes I really like the new design, the avian anatomy actually fits her quite well, and the plumage is wonderfully colored, just as birds usually are! I think I like the greenish teal tail feathers best! haha I also like that she has a lil orange 'beak' as well! Very lovely work, it's so neat to see her now and remember her through the years, but I also can't help but wonder how she would appear in person...her feathers look so soft I think I might want to pet them, but I'm pretty sure that would be a mistake x'3 hahaha

Hehe, reading your comments are always a delight!  I'm glad I still have the essence of Bladewind intact, b/c I took a big departure from the dinosaur features and went for avian instead (rather in the way dinosaurs have changed from scaly things to more feathery ones as new discoveries have emerged in the paleontological field :B). Anyway - I'm glad you like the plumage and the new anatomy. I'm also glad you like the colors of the feathers. She had blue before, but I wanted the new version to have a little more "pop" to it without being too loud. I'd want to pet her too, but I'd be afraid of that big swishy tail that ends with a feathered fly-swatter :la:

I am glad! I always love seeing your comments in my inbox though, or any of my special dA friends for that matter.  It seems those are the ones that matter most to me x3  She does have color and pizzazz without being overtly loud, but now I wonder-is her species sexually dimorphic in terms of color?  If so, is it the males or females that have to be super colorful and beautious? ahahah
Also hahaha a flyswatter! I bet it feels about like that too. o-o

Oh wow! She's amazing! You did a great job :D Before I was having problems getting used to her new anatomy features, but with the colors it looks much for natural!

You're welcome! the highlights and shadows definitely help with the anatomy :D The details look more 3-D and natural with the shading, whereas with the flat colors/just the lines they looked a little strange... but I'm not exactly sure how to explain why. lol

Seconding the comments in regards to her color scheme; you're so skilled when it comes to handling contrasting colors and this is no exception.  The muted colors and the blues just look lovely!

Thanks! It's great to get feedback on the color scheme b/c I had serious reservations about whether or not they would be too different from what I was used to (her mostly brown/gold palette in v3).  I also tend to not like a lot of colors in my character designs - and as we discussed before - I'm less and less interested in coloring stuff in general now-a-days :B Anyway, thank you so much for your comments about the contrasting colors - it means a lot - especially coming from you and all the great work you've produced.

I really love seeing the WIP's you had of this, and the outcome is rather stunning!I love the design first off, very original and unique! And then the colors you added made it stand out even more! The soft shaded makes it also look very professional, something you'd see in a book :) Marvelous!
