"Tesqua" means "desert" in Latin, so in essence, this is the desert gryphon.

This is for *Foxfeather248 who took first place in my Leerhop Contest with her image, Rainforest Leerhop. This image is a free digital commission, so the usual cost would be about $150. *Foxfeather248, I hope you like your gift!

I haven't drawn a gryphon (griffen, griffin) since grade-school so this was a delight.

;p I saw this in the Recently Submitted and had it pinned as yours. I love the lower back -- it really makes it look real. I think the curvature of the spine is maybe a little disconcerting, but you really lose yourself in all the detail. :nod: Great job, G!

Hehehehe. I was aiming to do an over-the-top muscle-creature. The original drawing is actually a lot crazier in terms of sharp angles and muscle definition. I toned it down a tad, but the bit in front of his tail is indeed odd :p

That's awesome that you can recognize my work even if you don't know it's me. YESSS!
