ALMOST FAMOUS
If you don't think DeviantART leaves a mark in the "real world," think again!


My aunt lives in Louisiana. This weekend she went to Baton Rouge to purchase a new Macintosh computer. Thereafter, she called me to tell of her little adventure, as detailed below:

At the store, the woman behind the counter asked my aunt if she would like to surf the Web with one of the computers.

My aunt answered, "Sure, we can 'Google' my niece and look at her art."

The woman asked for my name, but upon hearing it, a big smile spread across her face. Then, she asked: "You know Cooley?!"

"Ginger is my niece, yes," my aunt answered, baffled.

"Cooley! My boyfriend totally digs Cooley! He's always looking at her art and showing it to me," the woman said, still smiling.


Now, I have no idea who this is in Baton Rouge, but I'm in Alaska and whoever this is has nothing to do (that I know of) with my old ties in Louisiana (all my dealings were in Slidell, New Orleans and Hammond anyway). If this story is true, it's because of DeviantART that these two are aware of me. So, I must know...Who is this couple? You two have totally made my day!
