I'm hosting my very first contest!
Here's all you need to know about the competition:

Entries_{Design a creature-horse for the Creature-horse Herd.

You may design your horse any way you like, just make it somewhat anatomically correct.

Entries must be fully inked, colored, and shaded (no background).

Entries may be in any medium, just make sure it's clean enough to incorporate into the herd image.

Horses should be running to the left, any other pose will not be accepted.

This means you can't make a flying horse, or a rearing horse, it must be running!

An example of a creature horse, acceptable in the contest, can be seen here.

No horses that do not meet the above guidelines will be accepted.

Deadline}_{The contest began on June 25th.

The deadline for this contest is September 10th.

No entries after September 10th will be accepted.}

How to Enter_{Entries should be submitted via note with "contest entry" in the subject-line and a link to wherever it is posted.

I will fav all entries and post them on my shoutboard/journal for the duration of the contest and judgment.

I will be out of town most of July so please don't be alarmed if your entry is not posted on my shoutboard immediately.

Only one entry per person will be accepted. If you decide to update your entry at any time during the contest, that is fine, but that will make prior entries submitted by you void.}

Judgment_{I will be in charge of judging the contest.

Please do not ask "Did I win?", I will announce it shortly after the deadline.}

Prizes_{1st Prize: The winning horse will be added to the official Creature-horse Herd picture and posted in my gallery with your name included in the credits. This image will have only the 3 original horses and the winner's horse included.

2nd/3rd Prize: Deviants with 2nd/3rd prize will have their work (including their entry to the contest) featured in my journal for a time (probably a month or more).

I will be making an unofficial "creature-horse herd" which will include all entries and posted in my gallery w/the proper credits. Contestants are welcome to post this image in their galleries as well.

All winners are allowed to duel-post the official "creature-horse herd" in their galleries.

Hmmm, only one question

As far as the "no background" is concerned, does that mean you'd like the creature-horse's surroundings to be transparent (aka- not white, just nada)?

I think I'll take a crack at it

Yep - a transparent background would be idea. That way, if yours wins I can easily incorporate it into the "creature-horse herd" image. I can't wait to see your entry!

Uber question...I don't have Photoshop, or any other kind of program like that (except Paint...o.o)...do you have any specifics coloring wise???

Hmm. Digital would probably be the best b/c it will go with the other hroses. But if you have something you want to try, I'm sure to take a look at it and see how you do. Or else I can just giv eyou advice and you can practice?

Nope, just that they be clean and will fit in somewhat with the horses already in the pic (the pic will be posted soon). Also, make sure it is colored and shaded. And - no background necessary, that way I can incorporate it easily into the finished piece if you were to win
