The Bladewind Role-Play Epic
_{The Bladewind RP is a role-play session between ~ShatteredSmile and I that has been going for over a year now. My main character is Bladewind and her character is Eypok, the dragon. Other characters (detailed below) are run by one of us, our names next to theirs will define which character is governed by who. We try to update the RP account every week or so with the latest chapters. If you have a LiveJournal account, you can "watch" the Bladewind RP account and receive notices whenever the story is updated. If you are new to the RP, click on "Start w/Chapter 1" on the left side of the blog in the links section. Below we will summaries of each character so readers can enjoy reading the RP like a novel:}


Setting
_{Most of the story takes place on a forgotten Polynesian island where Bladewind and her tribe live. The island is so obscure that humans are unaware of their existence and those who find out usually regret it. (Think "King Kong.") The story takes place in the modern-day world but Bladewind's tribe live like savages.}


Hierarchy System
_{Bladewind's tribe runs on a hierarchy system with an "elder council" of ten members, and headed by one "High Elder." Unless one is family of an elder, they are considered peasants and are to adhere to the strict spiritual beliefs of the elders. Whomever marries the offspring of the High Elder will become the new High Elder and Queen of the tribe. By the time this story begins, the elder hierarchy system is beginning to crumble and the tribe is facing chaos. They are looking for one savior: The "Sky Demon."}


Bladewind - ^cooley
_{Bladewind is one of two main characters in the Bladewid Role-Play Epic. She is an 8-foot-tall Utahraptor woman, with great wings like a golden eagle and a frill much like that of a styracosaur. She is fiercely loyal to her tribe, to a point of stubbornness. Much of the RP is about how she begins to realize that many of her tribe's beliefs are misplaced, and that outside visitors to their island should NOT be sacrificed to the gods. She maintains some power over the wind and often carries a compound bow.}


Eypok - ~ShatteredSmile
_{Eypok is a mysterious black dragon that finds himself on Bladewind's island after a rough storm. He carries a mysterious crystal that seems to power him, and turns the weak-spirited into power-hungry individuals. He has great silky wings and is quite a powerful quadruped, though physically smaller than Bladewind and her tribemen. He does not know where he comes from, but the RP will yield answers to his mysterious past, and the crystal he carries.}


Sheerwing - ^cooley & ~ShatteredSmile
_{Sheerwing is Bladewind and Eypok's arch-nemesis. He was once a member of the elder council, but he turned against the tribe when his lust for power and Bladewind turned too great. He is horribly scarred on the left side of his face, and blind in the left eye. He is one of the largest males in the tribe and a younger member of the elder council. He possesses power over electricity and is not afraid to use it.}


Swiftclaw - ^cooley & ~ShatteredSmile
_{The youngest member of the RP, Swiftclaw is roughly at the maturity-level of a ten-year-old human. She is pulled into the story quite by accident but turns out to be one of the most pivotal characters in the RP.}


Bladecrest - ^cooley
_{Bladecrest is Bladewind's father and the High Elder of their tribe. He is more insightful than the other elders and has the power of healing. Unfortunately his old age prevents him from taking an active role against Sheerwing, in which he ultimately pays.}


Razorwing & Razorcrest - ^cooley
_{Razorwing and Razorcrest are brothers, and Bladewind's personal, life-long guards. They are sworn to protect her at all costs, though they will soon learn that other factors play into their relationship with Bladewind. Razorwing is the more loyal of the two, he is also younger and smaller than his brother Razorcrest.}


Jade - ~ShatteredSmile
_{Jade sports a past that is as mysterious as Eypok's. She was considered a heretic by her tribe when she befriended an outsider and fell in love. As a result, she was banished and only re-appears when the tribe is in need. No one welcomes her, but she is destined to be more important to the tribe than they ever imagined. She, like a shaman, possesses many mysterious powers.}


Bloodclaw - ^cooley
_{Bloodclaw is one of the older and more important members of the elder council. He is wise, to the point where his wisdom is able to overcome some of the "heretical" situations he faces. He is physically small, but he is much more intelligent than most other members of the council.}


Other Elders & Tribesmen - ^cooley
_{More elders are mentioned in the RP, but not all of them are named. In the same way, tribesmen and guards also play important roles but are not named.}


Dr. Gosseria & the Humans - ~ShatteredSmile
_{Dr. Gosseria may be as dangerous as Sheerwing in all his hunger for power. Other humans are vital in the story but not all are named.}
